“UNDER COVER”

During RijksOPEN Amsterdam Art Weekend

14 November – 5 December 2015

EXHIBITION OPENING 21 November 16:00-19:00

OPENING HOURS during Amsterdam Art Weekend:
Friday 27 November 18:00 – 20:00
Saturday 28 November 14:00 – 20:00
Sunday 29 November 14:00 – 18:00

The AmsterdamArt Weekend is organized in conjunction with the RijksakademieOPEN.

Peter de Graaff

resident artist at the Rijksakademie from 1990 to 1992, goes under cover with a series of new large scale ‘manoeuvres’, working with multi-layered images, mixing photography, oil painting and epoxy.

His constructed inner- and outerscapes fuse interior and exterior, as in images of museum halls and opulently furnished parlors mysteriously invaded by oversized vegetation.

Ellert Haitjema

Rijksakademie resident from 1987 to 1989 exhibits a number of recent sculptures, each loaded with various levels of meaning that stimulate our imagination using unpretentious materials in unusual combinations and a dash of sly humor. Upon further investigation, what you see is *not* what you get.

Concurrent with this exhibition is the presentation of Ellert Haitjema’s “Furnished Flora” at http://www.biederbergfindersprojects.com”>
